"I personally have eaten in Romeo's restaurant at Juliette Falls twice in the last two weeks. It is absolutely outstanding. Beef tenderloin
is better than Marks, larger in size, served on a sizzling platter with great sauces. My wife had a delicious shrimp and scallops
dish with fabulous sauce served on a very hot plate. The total bill was $53.21 including wine & drinks. They have NO service charge so tip is not included.
Another time we had dinner at Romeos
when I was served lobster, shrimp & scallops in a wonderful sauce for $26. I intend to go back to Romeos"

Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin & Shrimp
with Cognac Cream Sauce
- 6oz Beef Tenderloin
- 2 Jumbo Shrimp
- 1/2 c Spinach
- 1 Tbsp Sundried Tomatoes
- 1 Portabella Mushroom (small, whole)
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Cognac
- 1/2 c Heavy Cream
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Method:
In a heavy saute pan heat olive oil over medium heat. Season tenderloin on both sides with salt and pepper. Place tenderloin in pan. Sear meat on both sides until desired teperture is reached. Remove tenderloin from pan & let rest. In the same pan add shrimp, sundried tomatoes, spinach and portabello mushroom. Saute for approximately 1 minute. Add cognac and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper. Pour sauce over tenderloin. Serve with mashed potatoes, angel hair pasta, or risotto. |

Ingredients
-
14 oz walnuts
-
1 pound 8 ounces sweet dark chocolate
-
1 pound unsalted butter
-
1 pound 12 oz granulated sugar
-
8 eggs
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1 pound bread flour
-
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Method;Chop walnuts into raisin-sized pieces and set aside. Cut chocolate into chunks, place in a bowl with butter, and melt together over simmering water. Set aside to cool. Line the bottom of a half-sheet pan (16x12 inches) with baking paper or a Silpat. Whip the sugar, eggs and vanilla at high speed until light and fluffy. Fold into the cooled chocolate mixture. Sift the flour with baking powder and stir into the chocolate. Add 12 ounces walnuts and raisins, if you are using them. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining 2 ounces walnuts over the top. Bake at 400 degrees F for about 30 minutes or until the cake is completely set but still slightly soft. Let cool, then slice into pieces of the desired size. | |
